This is a modern day 1960s album of songs, infused with the spirit of the jazz played & recorded in that era. It has kept the loose approach to jazz that you hear on old recordings which are always exciting, happy & make your feet dance.

The title ‘A Lack of Standards’ refers to exactly that; it’s not a lot of old jazz standards for the sake of it. So these are what I call New Old Swing Songs; they are written and played in a retro style and are intended to simply have fun and swing. I hope you enjoy it.
